It never ceases to amaze me how many people ask me,”So, how is real estate on the lake?” Well!!!!!! I like to answer a question with one. I say to them, “What are you waiting for??” Lake Sinclair represents excellent value. The prices are very attractive, interest rates are low, and we have a lake full of water. Makes you wonder!!!! People will buy a new car, which we all know loses value the moment you drive it off the lot. Yet they are fearful of making an investment that could reward them in many ways, including the shear fact that they could have a great vacation home that the family can all enjoy, or a great retirement home or simply a great opportunity for investment. How many of us have said the words”Boy, I should have bought when the prices were so low”

The market calls for a recession, the feds drop rates again, prices keep falling, and the Atlanta Metro lakes still are not filling up. So, what would be the good news??? LAKE SINCLAIR, that’s what. Our lake is full, our rates are extremely low and our property values are very attractive to buyers. Could all this change tomorrow? Sure. But one thing is for sure, land is always the best hedge against inflation and property that has water attached to it (not from a flood) is historically the strongest in the economy.

Are We Tilting Towards A Recession?

Well, the feds just lowered the interest rate again at an unprecedented ¾ of a percent. Not since September 11, 2001 have they stepped in this fast to ward off a market meltdown. My question to you is this- do your stock market reports look bad? What about your 401K? Are you losing money in your investments? HMMMM. When was the last time you saw lake property lose value long term? If you are looking to invest you money safely, then now is the time to invest in Real Estate. Don’t put off that dream of owning your Lake Home too long. There are outstanding home and land values that are less than a 2 hour drive from Atlanta. Lake Sinclair has the water to float your boat and some of the best fishing in Georgia (check out the fishing report). While there are no guarantees about the future, one thing I do know for sure is that it is way more fun to fish with your son or grandson than it is to do the backstroke in the stock market. Not to mention the fact that a weekend at the lake can do wonders for taking the edge off of a week of that Atlanta traffic!
